SHOW BUSINESS is Cath Martin. I am an operations generalist working with independent brands and studios on a fractional or project basis.
My background is in retail, buying and general management. I started out on the sales floor, then became an owner-operator and later moved into leadership roles in boutique and matrixed businesses.
These days I help founders and lean teams with planning, production, market pipeline and client communications, in the fields of:

I help with all the things that make a back-of-house run smoothly. This includes task delivery, resourcing, logistical continuity, cross-coordination, administration and compliance.
My aim is to free up bandwidth for creative work, by bringing consistency to core functions, bridging gaps and providing practical steps to go from concept to output.
That usually means working alongside founders or embedding with a team to:
—Identify tasks: purpose, method
—Clarify processes: inputs, parameters
—Centralise & track information
—Integrate systems: analogue to digital

I'm currently based in Melbourne and available to work on-site here or in Sydney, or remotely if preferred.
Work is collaborative and geared around each client's pace, priorities, and back-of-house setup.
