For those who like movies, there’s a book by screenwriter William Goldman called Adventures in the Screen Trade. In it is a piece of advice I’ve found helpful: “No one knows anything.”

When I tell people what I do–as in work in operations–they often have an idea of what this could maybe mean, but don’t really know what it is. Fair enough!
