SHOW BUSINESS is run by Cath Martin. It helps independent brands, small businesses and creative practices build, adapt and expand their operations.
APPROACH

Interested in the making-of.
Operations is the coordination of all the moving parts that go into making something and getting it to its intended audience.
Day-to-day, this means coordinating teams and suppliers, planning, development, infrastructure, resourcing and communications.
SHOW BUSINESS structures the tasks, processes and systems that connect and deliver this work. It covers administration, sales, logistics, production, compliance, brand management, retail, wholesale, buying and merchandising.
The process.
SHOW BUSINESS works directly with founders and teams to:
i) Identify what’s needed to rebalance capacity, bridge knowledge gaps and structure fragmented work.
ii) Put the right systems in place and bring the team on board
iii) Turn what works into guiding principles.
Fractional support.
Fractional partnerships run for 1, 2 or 3 days per week over a 3, 6 or 12 month term, with the option to keep going.
Partnerships are available on the ground in Melbourne, in an advisory capacity with scheduled contact time in Sydney, or remotely.
FOUNDER

Cath Martin.
Born in Brazil and raised in Australia, Cath studied photography for five years, took a side job in retail, became a manager and went on to co-own and operate a boutique store and sales agency.
She later worked at Louis Vuitton in São Paulo, then as Retail Director for a multi-brand fashion business in New York.
Returning to Australia, she was Buyer and General Manager of partner-operated stores for two global brands in Melbourne and Sydney, then General Manager of a founder-led, omni-channel business during a period of rapid growth.
In 2023, Cath established SHOW BUSINESS.
She currently works with design and fashion clients in Melbourne and Sydney.
